Our great adventure will begin by picking you up from your hotel at 9:00 am, then we will go in our tourist transport to the district of Chinchero, located 35 minutes from the city of Cusco, and then enter through a trail until we reach the community. from Ocutuan-Umasbamba, where our host family will be waiting for us.
Once we arrive at the place, we will have a great welcome from the host family, who will show us all the rooms of the house including our room, we will have the morning free to get to know our host family more.
In the afternoon we will have a delicious typical lunch made with community products, and then we will share all the daily activities that the family carries out such as: grazing animals, collecting firewood, working on the land, etc.
After a delicious dinner, we will spend the night at our new family’s house.
After a delicious breakfast, our host family will show us in greater detail, the entire community, its typical streets, its church, its people.
We will continue with our typical activities, in which we will include a beautiful demonstration of Andean textiles made by our host family, in the same way they will teach us this wonderful art that was inherited from the Incas, we will learn, from cutting sheep wool, to the process of dyeing, weaving and final finishing of a textile.
In the same way we will have the opportunity to buy handicrafts made by our new family, and take them as gifts to our loved ones at home.
After a delicious lunch, we will say goodbye to our host family, to go back to the City of Cusco.
OPTIONAL VISIT: before returning to Cusco, you can visit the archaeological center of Chinchero, a beautiful Inca site accompanied by its colonial church, you need a TOURIST TICKET.
