Visiting Maras Moray Salineras and Las Lagunas de Huaypo and Piuray in ATV is the perfect combination of scenic beauty, culture and adventure full of stories, come and enjoy Moray, a set of circular terraces located deep in a natural canyon, used as an agricultural laboratory since the time of the Incas as well as the Salineras de Maras.
Without a doubt, this Tour is for people who are looking for an experience of contact with nature and feel the magic of La Laguna de Huaypo, located northwest of Cusco, in the peasant community of Eqqecco, and west of the town of Chinchero. It is located on a wide plateau, at 3,507 meters above sea level, surrounded by the Nevados SalKantay, Verónica and Soray, 44 kilometers from the City of Cusco and its sister Laguna de Piuray is located at 3,435 meters above sea level. This lagoon supplies water to the city of Cusco from the time the Tahuantinsuyo. It was the Incas who brought its waters to the imperial city through underground aqueducts.
According to one of the local legends, the Sun God asked Manco Cápac that his twin sons accompany him in his sunset. When they went looking for them, they discovered that the son who walked the farthest had turned into the Huaypo lagoon and the daughter into the Piuray lagoon.

The Maras Moray and Lagunas Tour starts at 8.00 am. We will pass by your hotel to start our trip of approximately 50 minutes in our tourist transport towards the community of Cruz Pata.
Here we will have the opportunity to practice on the ATVs for 15 or 20 minutes and then we will begin our great adventure, leading to the start of the tour with the ATVs towards the archaeological center of Moray, where we will have a guided tour.
Then we will make a rapid descent towards the town of Maras, where we will have the opportunity to rest and eat our box lunch.
Continuing with the tour by a rapid descent until we reach Salineras de Maras, a wonderful place with more than 2000 salt wells, where we will have a guided tour, on the way we will visit the small archaeological zone of Cheqoq, we will visit this archaeological center of great importance .
Continuing our adventure we will go to the Huaypo lagoon, a place where we will have a good rest enjoying the landscape and ecological panorama of the place.
We will continue with our adventure until we reach La Laguna Piuray (sister of Laguna de Huaypo) passing through the town of Chinchero.
In the Laguna de Piuray we can see some seasonal birds.
Finally we will go to the sector called “Mirador de los 5 nevados” from where you can see the 5 snow-capped mountains that protect the entire Sacred Valley; Likewise, you will be able to observe the great variety of migratory birds in this fantastic lagoon.
Finishing our tour, we will return to Cusco where our transport will take us to the city center (Cusco’s main square) or if it is in private service, to your respective hotel.
