On this tour you will visit the amazing Ballestas Islands; where you can contemplate the Chandelier and hundreds of sea lions and hundreds of birds waiting for you on a promenade. Another important attraction is the Paracas National Reserve; refuge of diverse animals and cradle of one of the most important cultures of this region, the Paracas culture. Ica Hotel Transfer
The tour begins with the pick up from your hotel at 6:00 am approx. to then go to the Province of Pisco, district of Paracas where they will be transferred to the Chaco craft dock, where they will board a slider boat to the Ballestas Islands, already in the slider we will be provided with life jackets as a means of protection, making our visit comfortable and safe.
During our tour we will stop to appreciate the mysterious figure of the Candelabra; an impressive design traced on the side of a hill in the bay of Paracas. Then we will continue towards the Ballestas Islands, already on the islands; visitors will be able to enjoy an impressive marine scenery full of birds and sea lions. Here we will travel in our slider around the islands, passing through caves, rock formations such as the profile of Christ and we will appreciate many other aquatic species. The tour lasts a total of 2 hours including: 1 hour round trip, and 1 hour circumnavigation of the islands.
Upon return, visitors can take a tour of the paracas craft fair; where you can buy typical souvenirs of the area. Then we will visit the Paracas National Reserve, which is one of the most important Natural Protected Areas on the coast of Peru, visited daily by hundreds of tourists for the great beauty of its natural settings.
During the tour we will visit the area of fossils called “Turritelas”, testimony to the fauna that existed in this area forty million years ago, we will also visit the viewpoint of “la Catedral”, a rock formation that was affected by the 2007 earthquake, but that still retains a unique beauty.
Finally we will go through the interpretation center, here we will find a lot of information about the flora and fauna that exists in the reserve, we will also be able to observe some species that live at the bottom of the ocean, among others; at 4:00 p.m. approx. We will be back to the city of Ica where passengers will be left in the comfort of their hotel or bus station.
