Tour Details

The archaeological complex of Sillustani this located to 34 km to the northwest of the city of Puno, a trip by lorry of 50 minutes. Sillustani is a peninsula, where in the superior part of the hill he/she is a cemetery, the stone tombs (Chullpas) of the pre-Inca time, until 12 meters high had built for 3000 years by the leaders religious kollas and Inca to bury its leaders, there are more than 90 tombs of different sizes and forms. The lake Umayo is to the foot of the Chullpas that surrounds Sillustani and he/she adds a great beauty to the landscape.

Day 1Chulpas of Sullustani

 The lake Umayo is to the foot of the Chullpas that surrounds Sillustani and he/she adds a great beauty to the landscape. In the banks of the lagoon some types of systems agricultural called waru waru can be observed, platforms surrounded by channels of water which believes a special microclimate that is good as protection for the cultivations against the freezes, this technique were created by the culture Pucara. There are also different types of birds and several wild animals as vizcachas (rodents of America of the South). In the one on the way to return to Puno visited a house of field of the town of Atuncolla where he/she will be able to appreciate the local population’s customs (Collas) that live in their typical houses of stone, clay and straw. Then, a return trip to Puno or we continue to the airport. Spend the night in Puno.

For this trip we pass to pick up to the paxs from their hotel starting from 2.00pm. They Leave Puno approx. 2:30 pm and the trip + the one itinerary lasts 3 hours.
